Return & Refund Policy – India Telescope Shop

At India Telescope Shop we follow a strict no return / no refund policy for all astronomical telescopes and optical instruments. These products are high-precision, world-class imports that undergo detailed inspection before dispatch.

 
Order Cancellations
  • Orders can be cancelled only if they have not yet been dispatched.

  • A 3% deduction will apply towards payment gateway charges.

  • Cash on Delivery (COD) is not available.

 
Returns (If Applicable)

Returns are accepted only in exceptional cases and solely at our discretion. A valid and acceptable reason must be provided, and returns will be approved only after evaluation.

 
Eligibility Criteria

To qualify for a return:

  • The product must be unused, in perfect condition, and in its original undamaged packaging.

  • The return request must be raised within 24 hours of receiving the product.

  • A return note explaining the reason must be included in the package.

  • Return shipping charges must be borne by the customer.

  • A 25% restocking fee will apply for order rejection, change of mind, or non-acceptance.

 
Returns Will Not Be Accepted If:
  • The product is used, damaged, mishandled, or missing components.

  • The packaging is torn, altered, or damaged.

  • The return is for collimation issues in ED Telescopes (not covered under warranty).

 
Wrong or Faulty Items

If you receive:

  • A wrong product, or

  • A faulty product (excluding ED Telescope collimation),

You must:

  1. Notify us within 6 hours of delivery.

  2. Provide an unedited unboxing video showing the condition of the product—this is mandatory for insurance claims.

  3. Share the video with us within 24 hours of delivery.

Return shipping must be arranged by the customer using a reliable courier, and the item must be insured to ensure safe delivery back to us.

 
Refunds

Once we receive and inspect the returned item:

  • You will be informed via WhatsApp regarding approval or rejection of the refund.

  • Approved refunds will be processed within 2–3 working days, after deducting applicable charges (shipping, payment gateway, restocking, etc.).

  • Refunds will be credited to the original mode of payment.

 
Delayed Refunds

If the refund hasn’t been received:

  1. Check your bank or credit card statement.

  2. Contact your bank or card provider.

  3. If still unresolved, contact us on WhatsApp: 9899212222.
