Shipping and Returns Policy

  • We have a strict no returns / no refund policy. Astronomical telescopes and products are world class products imported by us from around the globe.

  • We do not offer cash on delivery .

  • Items can be cancelled and be refunded full amount if not despatched.However payment gateway charges of 3 percent will be deducted.

Telescopes are highly delicate items and comes with no refund policy. All telescopes are checked before dispatch at India Telescope shop. We ensure that there is no manufacturing defects in any of our products.

To be eligible for a return, a valid reason has to be presented and reviewed and accepted by us. The ultimate decision of accepting your reason will be ours. Item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging. The original product box has to be undamaged and not torn. If either the product box or the product is damaged in any form, we will not accept it back and reject your return / refund.

You have to return the shipment / package / product within 24 hours of receiving the package via Courier or Road Transport. All return charges to send the package to our door step has to be paid by you.

If the products under warranty need repairs / replacements or re-collimation in case of sophisticated Telescope Optics like Ritchey-Chrétien Telescopes or ED Telescopes, then they have to be sent to the original manufacturer from where the product was originally imported from. You will have to send the package to the respective manufacturer at your cost. Air Freight for re-import and Customs Duty if any has to be borne by you.

ED Telescopes are sophisticated optics and cannot be collimated in INDIA. Collimation of Optics require the precesion that only a factory can provide. ED Telescopes cannot be collimated in India since there are no service centres in India. There is no warranty on the collimation of ED Telescope. If an ED Telescope purchased requires collimation, then it has to be sent to the source country or factory and re-imported back to INDIA at your (the customers) cost. Any Customs Duty if applicable is to be paid by the customer.

  • we do not accept returns .We will deduct courier charges and payment gateway/other procedural charges including restocking fees 25% of total price, should you decide to return the order for non acceptance or do not need any more.Under Any circumstances we may refuse to accept returns of items used or a faulty , for damaged item sent back to us upon use or mishandled and abstain from total refund if some items found missing. The item with all packaging and pristine condition will only be considered at total inspection and discretion of our company.

  • Courier / Road Transport

NOTE : Dispatch of small items is done via India Post or Private Courier Companies like Professional Couriers, DTDC, Bluedart,Xpressbees, etc. India telescope shop's dispatch team will decide which courier company to use for packages moving to different locations within India and abroad. Any delay in transit or delivery by 3rd Party Companies is 'NOT OUR RESPONSIBILITY'. We have no control over their service and operations.

Customers are free to use their own preferred courier service and arrange for a Self-Pick-Up from our workshop.

We do not take any Guarantee of 3rd Party Courier or Post Companies as we do not control them. Delivery Boys may or may not call you at the time of Delivery. We do not take any responsibility for that. You will have to pay Postage again if your package returns due to any reason. Once we provide you the Tracking ID, it is your responsibility to track your parcel and not ours.

  • Do not accept damage box/parcel if any arriving to you and inform us at the earliest for necessary action.

  • It is pertinent to make a unedited video of opening or carton/box at time of receipt to help us determine and claim insurance should the item be received in damaged condition due to in transit damage. We will not be able to prove damage to courier or claim insurance in absence of unboxing video at your end and hence will not be responsible to said damage as such in absence of this material evidence.

  • Deliveries accepted and not informed as to any discrepancy or damage within 6 hours of receipt will be deemed to have been delivered in good state and no case for damage or missing items will be entertained then.

  • Refunds

·       Once your return is received and inspected, we will contact you on WhatsApp to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your return / refund.

If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your debit / credit card or original method of payment, within a 2 to 3 days.

Late or missing refunds
If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again.
Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted. Next, contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.

·       If the package is to be returned by you for any of the following two reasons, then you will have to use the CHEAPEST COURIER option like INDIA POST and not expensive courier companies like FEDEX, DTDC, DHL Express, etc to get courier charges reimbursed.

1. Received WRONG Product.
2. Received FAULTY Product (does not include collimation issue of sophisticated ED Telescopes)

write a note describing reason for return. Our team upon opening the package will read your note and act accordingly.

You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of forward and return shipping will be deducted from your refund.

Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you may vary.

If you are returning more expensive items, you may consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.
